What is the difference between Xplor and Xplor Fuego?

Same park, different hours and menu. Fuego runs evenings from 5:30 to 11 p.m. with one zipline circuit instead of two, the same vehicles, rivers, and slides, and a BBQ ribs dinner buffet instead of the day's lunch and snack stations. As of July 2026 it's also $30 cheaper per adult.

Is Xplor Fuego worth it?

On the official math, it's the same adventure at night for less money with dinner included, minus one zipline circuit. Reviewers describe torches and a zipline through a ring of fire, though that staging comes from third-party accounts, not Xcaret's pages. We haven't done it ourselves; it's first on our list for a return trip.

Can kids do Xplor or Xplor Fuego?

The official minimum age for both is 5, and activity minimums stack on top: 3.6 feet for ziplines and vehicles, 3.3 feet for the rivers, 4.2 feet for the big waterslide. Our four-year-old was helmeted at the entrance anyway and then turned away at the activities, so trust the published numbers, not the welcome desk.

Is dinner included at Xplor Fuego?

Yes. Xplor's official page lists a BBQ ribs buffet with vegetarian options, plus unlimited non-alcoholic drinks including coffee and hot chocolate, as part of Fuego admission as of July 2026.

What days is Xplor closed?

Sundays, for both the day park and Fuego, per the official pages: Xplor runs Monday through Saturday 9 to 5, Fuego 5:30 to 11 p.m., schedules subject to change.

Honesty first: we did Xplor by day and had Fuego planned, and then a day of being split up made a family dinner sound better than a second adventure, so my wife and teenager came home instead. What the day park is like (the part we lived)

Xplor by day is a genuine physical undertaking. My wife, who is in excellent shape, came back warning about the volume of walking and stairs, and our 14-year-old nearly tapped out more than once. It's also genuinely the teen's favorite day of the trip in hindsight, which is the whole Xplor trade in one sentence. What's different at night, per the record

The official differences are simple: Fuego drops one of the two zipline circuits, swaps lunch and the snack stations for a BBQ ribs dinner buffet, runs five and a half evening hours instead of eight, and costs $30 less at both price points. The atmosphere is the part official pages undersell and reviewers rave about: torches, red lighting, and a zipline pass through a ring of fire, per third-party accounts that also report smaller crowds. We pass that along as reporting, not experience.

One caveat we can't resolve: Xplor's own pages disagree about whether the Underground Expedition walk is part of Fuego, so if that specific activity matters to you, confirm at booking.

The height rules, exactly (learn from our mistake)

The official minimums, identical on both parks' pages:

Park admission: age 5 minimum, kids accompanied by an adult, ID required.
Ziplines: 3.6 ft (1.10 m) minimum height, 88 lb minimum weight, 300 lb maximum.
Amphibious vehicles: 3.6 ft to ride; drivers must be adults 18+ with official ID.
Rafts and Stalactite River swim: 3.3 ft (1 m) minimum; swimmers only.
Toboganxote waterslide: 4.2 ft (1.30 m) minimum.

Now the experience half: our four-year-old, below the published minimum age, was measured at the entrance, issued a helmet, and told there were activities she could do. There weren't. Two rejections and a re-measurement later, we split the family for the day. The published numbers were right and the entrance was wrong, so plan from this list, not from the welcome desk.
